Spain, with its vibrant culture and dazzling nightlife, secured the prestigious position as the best country in Europe and the second-best worldwide for expatriates in 2023. An overwhelming 88% of expatriates in Spain reported satisfaction with the nation’s culture and nightlife, a figure that towers over the global average of 68%. Moreover, the country’s enticing climate ensured that it snatched the third spot globally, enhancing the allure for expatriates looking to immerse in leisure activities.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Portugal graced the tenth position in the rankings, marking it as the second European nation to make it to the top ten for 2023. A significant facet of Portugal’s appeal lies in the effortless acclimation experience it offers to newcomers. With over three-quarters of the expats feeling right at home and an impressive 80% experiencing a warm welcome, the friendliness of the Portuguese population towards foreign residents is undeniable. When it comes to quality of life, Portugal proudly stands at the seventh position on a global scale.
